About
Eat the Earth stumbled onto the scene with 2016 EP The First Time The World Ended, a swirling psychedelic/apocalyptic stoner rock concept album about the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The EP’s tracks like The Brontosaurus March lumbered along through unconventional arrangements drenched in swirling distorted guitars layered over droning rhythms.
Early 2018 saw the release of the single Rum Ham, and it’s embrace of a more straight-ahead stoner rock sound recalling Black Sabbath’s Master of Reality-era explorations that laid the groundwork for the genre.
In June of 2020, Eat the Earth returned with the release of The Witch. The Witch‘s eight tracks blurred lines between genres, melding together swirling psychedelia, chugging stoner riffs, and proggier compositions in off-kilter time signatures.
